One Month Old

Happy One Month Alexander Sutton!

At your five week appointment your stats were:

Your weight : 10 lbs. 10 oz - 50th percentile

Your height: 21.25 inches - 25th percentile

Your head circumference: 15.5 inches - 50th percentile

You are having a lot of issues adjusting to your formula. We have switched from regular Similac to Similac sensitve and finally you are on Soy. You are adjusting well to the soy formula. You still have quite a bit of gas, but you can tell a huge difference. You have become a little piggy now that your tummy is better. You are drinking six to seven 4-5 ounce bottles a day. At 7 weeks we started putting a TBSP of cereal in your 10:00pm bottle because you are soooo hungry. You go down for the night around 10:00 and sleep until 3-4:00 am. After that you eat every 3 to 4 hours. When you get hungry, you go from sleeping to screaming in about 2 seconds...no warning. You stop crying immediately after we put your bib on, it is so funny.

Big brother Drew loves to give you kisses.

You like tummy time for about 5 minutes, then you are over it.

Your belly button finally came off around 6 weeks. You got your first "big boy" bath. You love bath time. The water is very soothing to you. You LOVE to have your hair washed.

You have to have your paci and blanket to sleep. You are very particular how your blanket is held. If it is not just right, you will fidget and fuss. You have a bit of a temper...not sure where you get that from. ;-)

You have acquired a few nicknames: Mon (Monchichi - because you came out with the same hair line as a Monchichi monkey), Fatty and Buddah (because you have the sweetest chunkiest legs and belly) and Auntie Roo calls you Paulie D (from Jersey Shore) and Meatball (because you are Italian). You are such a sweet baby and we love you so very much. You are such an amazing blessing and addition to our family.

Love you big,

Mommy, Daddy and big brother Drew
