Sorry I haven't posted in a few days! It has been utter chaos at my house. Drew has been sick since Friday (sinus infection). He spent Friday morning here with Mommy at work and I can honestly say he was so precious. He just sat in the floor (on a blanket of course, thanks Jen) and watched "Wightning Aqueen" for those of you who need a translation that would be Lightning McQueen (Disney's Cars movie). Daddy took over at lunch time and took Doodlebug home. We spent the rest of the evening listening to an "hour" soft water presentation that turned out to be about 3 hours all for a $10 gift card to Wal-Mart, which is ironic because he didn't even bring it with him. It should be in the mail today...right!!! UGH!!!

Saturday was extremely busy: we woke up, cleaned house, left house (being shown by realtor), came back to house, cleaned ourselves up, Wal-Mart trip, Neighbor's house for hamburgers and good times, bed at 11:00 p.m.

So begins Sunday: woke up, cleaned house again, left house again for another showing, back to house to change clothes, off to Katie's baby shower, back home Dave gets spring/summer clothes out of the attic, start unloading, reloading tubs with winter clothes, back to the attic, dinner, bath, bed around 11:00 p.m.

I am tired and bless my boy he is a trooper! He was a good boy all weekend and for the most part went willingly everywhere we decided to drag him. :) On a positive note, Dave starts his new softball league Tuesday so that should be lots of fun for the whole Brown family!!!

My son said the most adorable thing this morning and I had to share:

Drew: "Mommy, I am so happy!"
Me: "I am so happy that you are happy."
Drew: "I just want to dance!"
Me: Hysterically laughing..."Just dance buddy, just dance"

...So he did!

3 Year Appointment

So now that my baby is 3 (tear, tear, sniff) we had to go to his 3 year check up. I am proud to say that my little man is growing big and strong and Dr. H is very proud of his progress. Drew is weighing in at 32. 5 lbs. (70th percentile) and is 37 1/2 inches tall (50th percentile). Bless my boy, he is just not a baby anymore. :( He had to have his blood pressure taken and a finger stick. I have to tell you, my child is quite the drama king...he whined about his "boo-boo" on his finger the ENTIRE way home (a good 30 minutes).

Dr. H also noticed that he is very head-strong...not sure who he gets that from! :) Drew kept telling Dr. H that he is not sick. He also proceeded to put his toy car on the exam table and told Dr. H that he is Lightning McQueens doctor, not Drew's. By the end of our visit with the doctor he actually had Drew smiling a little, and then in comes the nurse with the terrible little "boo-boo" maker (finger sticker).

Since my big boy is now 3 I suppose he has decided that fighting is now acceptable. Examples:
Monday - I go to pick Drew up from school and the boy has scratches all over his face (even one in his ear). I ask his teacher what happened and she says that he and another little boy just started duking it out for no apparent reason. She separated them and put them in time out, turned around to wipe another child's nose and by the time she turned back around they were at it again!!! I still can't get Drew to tell me what they were fighting about.
Tuesday - I turn into the parking lot to pick Drew up and the class is outside on the playground. As I am turning in I see Drew walk up to a little boy and just push him...for no reason. I am in shock. The little boy then turns to Drew and starts hitting him, and Drew of course hits him back. The teacher from across the playground runs over and separates them and is putting them in time out as I am getting out of my car. So I go collect Drew's things, etc. and come back out to get him. I ask him why he hit the other child and he says, "because he is a monster"!!! WHAT THE CRAP?!?

Now I ask you all what is a mother to do? How do I get him to understand that it is not acceptable to just walk up and hit another child? When I talk to him, he seems to understand what I am saying and yet the very next day...
Any suggestions from you parents out there would be greatly appreciated!!!

Birthday Fun

Here are some pictures from the infamous (if you know my child you have heard about this birthday party for 4 months now) Drew "Car Birtday (no this is not misspelled, this is actually what he called it) Party". We had the party at Pump It Up in case you were wondering and couldn't figure it out from the pictures.

Watching the safety video...what they hear is "Blah, Blah, Blah" :)

These lovely ladies are who we refer to as "The Bench Warmers"

So begins another week!

Mondays....blah! I am not a fan of Monday's, but who is right? Drew's "Car" Birthday party went very well considering it was a room full of ankle biters :) We had the typical party, lots of family and friends running around, laughing, crying, opening presents, eating cake and of course we had the kid that threw up (Bless you Garrett, I hope you are feeling better). Drew had a blast and no one left with injuries...that I am aware of :)

Yesterday was Drew's actual 3rd birthday and we had leftover birthday cake and yes we sang and blew out the same "Car" candle about 15 times. He also got to open his presents from Mommy and Daddy. He loved all of all of his birthday presents (even the clothes). Thank you to all who were able to join us in wishing Drew-B a Happy Birthday and thank you for all the wonderful presents. I will try to post some pictures tonight.

I guess I need to get back to work now, it is MONDAY! :(

So I've jumped on the band wagon!!!

And so begins my journey of blogging...maybe! Thank you Alli DeArman. I am absolutely obsessed with reading blogs so I have decided to take the plunge and create one of my own. Not knowing how often I will update or if I will ever return to blog again, but at least I can say I tried! Seeing as how I am new to this I will keep this one short and update again after Drew's 3rd Birthday party on Saturday. Wish me luck!!!
